Someone at my yard has bred a litter of welsh border collies x rough collies and my mum is thinking about getting one.

Anyone an expert on these breeds?!

As far as I can see, so far the puppies are very docile and more rough collie than border, but haven't really known many rough collies. Are there any conditions they're likely to get, or things they're prone to??

Sounds like an interesting cross, would love to see them!
I only have experience of Border Collies - they are wonderful, providing they have enough mental and physical stimulation.
As with most breeds, parents are usually hip scored, and there is an eye test ( PRA?) as well.

I have never had the pleasure of meeting one but you can put me on the waiting list! They sound like heaven to me

Shall I ask them to pop one in the post?!

They are very sweet, medium length coat, tri-coloured, a rounded pointy nose and seem very calm and placid.

I think my mum would be a good home for one, it'd get walked twice a day, go puppy training and get to come riding with me, so hopefully the border collie side would be catered for! Will try and get pics to post.
