Bored horse *TIPS*

Can anyone give me any tips on things to put in horses stable whilst he is stuck in the stable currently he is in 24/7 due to weather stretching his legs when mucked out if the yard is not frozen, and looks to be that way for atleast another couple of days, he has lots of food, i tie up a turnip for him but he just chomps it in half straight away, i can't get anywhere to buy stable toys as im walking to yard at moment!!
 
Thanks, for ideas so far, will def be able to use veg etc as I can reach a food shop (thankfully) the football is also good will try that, I think the treat ball will be first thing i buy once i can get to saddlery!! Unfortunately the radio makes him worse as he thinks people are in tackroom and ignoring him, he had to be moved to diff stable as his was by the new tackroom and he was going mad when it was coffee time!!
Im hoping 2morrow he can atleast get onto the arena for a change fo scene for half an hour!
 
Try tying apples and carrots to lengths of rope and hanging them from the stable ceiling, Pippa loves this. Something else I tried with pips the other day was hanging up a plastic bottle and smearing some honey on this-took her ages to lick it clean. Treat balls I find are also a great boredom breaker. Hope that helps!
 
mine loves his widescreen tv... but i have a hell of a job finding the remote control in the morning.. now that he is snowed in for 12 hours a day im thinking of getting him a wi fit... i have heard good things about them. I draw the line at a lap top as you cant be with them 24 hours a day and he is after all only 16.
 
luckyold me...i must invest in the tv although think i had better put parental control on it as dont want him watching any naughty channels!!

also my boy and girl have whole sweedes to chase around the stables, they love that, keeps them occpied for ages.
