Bored Horse

As our yard is now an ice rink thanks to this freezing weather we're having my poor girl hasn't been out for 2 days!!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can make her time in her stable more fun? she has one of the food balls but thats about it!

Any ideas welcome

I like to get a swede - hollow it out and then hang it up for her to play with! Like a 'lick-it' but much cheaper and healthier!!
Also, if you feed hay off the ground, get a whole load of carrots and poke them into the slices of hay - mine take loads of time searching for them and it just keeps them occupied that little bit longer!!
Also - can you not put salt down so they can get out to the school/field? I always find mine know when it's dangerous underfoot and also seem to tread more carefully. Generally horses are pretty clever and know when their footings not great. Just a thought and Good Luck!!

I would LOVE to get her out, i'm not a big fan of keeping horses in. Unfortunately I am one of the first ones down so there in no salt down & to be honest i think i would have to put it down myself anyway, which i dont have problem with just need to get some! Then just need to find someone else to go out with her!!
