Boredom Breakers

As title really, Im thinking of things that I can hang on a rope to amuse ponies through these long winter nights. Likits last about 10 mins

Im sure Ive read that you can hang swedes and carrots but what else can they have without any harm.

A friend of mine had dried peas in a milk carton tied to twine hanging from the stable roof that her horse like to chew/play with. He also had a teddy bear hung up that he would stand with on his head-- strange pony..

I have a decahedron that I chop carrots & apples up and put in, my mare loves it, she also has the pony nuts she'd have in her tea in a snak-a-ball..makes her tea last longer. Spoilt mare also has a little likit ball as the normal big likits should be renamed two bites and gone !! Little likits used to last about an hour or so... she's a clever ponio and can now eat one in about 20 minutes, but it did take her over 6 months to perfect the art !

Our stabled horses like to have carrots/slices of other fruit/veg hidden in their haynets at night- they love nosing around for them in amongst they hay!

I tried hiding carrots in the haynet and it really made my mare bad tempered and grumpy. She gets cubes in a snack ball and loves her stable mirror.
