Bearing in mind that Ty hasn't been hacked out properly for about 6 weeks (lameness then lack of shoes) I'm hoping thats the reason he's been an absolute [****] tonight - everytime we went into trot he kept wrenching the reins out of my hands and pulling me right out of the saddle?

going to go on a couple of long hacks at the weekend - I'm hoping it is just boredom and he hasn't turned into a monster!!

Anyone else's do this?

Trying it on a bit after having some time off. My mare was hideous after 3 months off work and took me ages to get her settled back into good behaviour again!

but he's been ok for the last week or so (back in work) perhaps it is because all we've been able to do is school - off for a blow out at the weekend!

Yeah - a good honest gallop always cheers my lot up and if you've been doing lots of schooling it can get a bit boring for them.
I'm sure he'll be back to his usual self soon enough.
