boring..saddle cleaning

Can anyone advise me on cleaning my leather fairfax saddle? I do what my saddler recommends:use belvoir cleaner and conditioner using sponge/soft cloth and it comes out lovely then all of a sudden i get kinda white spots on it! Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?

i have a fairfax cob saddle .i use lincoln spray soap and jeffries leathercare which has beeswax in it.saddle comes up nice.are you storing saddle in a damp place?
