Borrowing clippers?

So, a friend has offered to lend me her clippers, but said that the blades on it are for a thicker coat ( has a hairy cob), so it might leave mine a bit stripey, as he has a finer coat. I'll be honest, I didn't know you could get different blades for different coats? Will it leave him stripey? Tia

You can generally get fine and medium blades :)
I always use medium as fine will be like scalping my mare! I wouldn't use fine unless the horse has a thick coat and is a native/cob.

I've got coarse blades on battery clippers and I haven't clipped many horses with them but those left with tram lines in the coat are the ones whose owners haven't bathed them properly first.

I have used both fine (1mm) & medium (2.5mm) on mine & the both clipped well just obviously looked different :)
She's an id x tb
