Can anyone tell me when buying blackoil sunflower seeds is there a specific "type" i need to go for???? Are they the ones they sell as bird feed???? Sorry if its a thick question.

Can anyone let me know why they feed them? We have a feed merchants, and no one has ever bought them for horses, but no doubt some one will ask me about it soon and I'll be caught out! How much do you feed too?

they are for good hooves and shiny coat i think-but sadly had no effect on my boy
he is the only horse on here that doesnt like them as well!!

But sunflower seeds have lots of fibre, which is one of the other reasons I feed them
Can't get BOSS so feed bog-standard striped ones and PF loves them

I buy 15k at a time in a big sack from the bird food section. Have really improved their feet and they love them.
