Bossy bibs mane saver anyone using one?

I am having a problem with my mane saver and wondered if anyone using one would mind checking the inside of their rugs to see if theres is doing the same?

The velcro on the bossy bib mane saver is slightly wider than the strap that goes in top of it leaving a few mm each side that is catching my rug.

Is it possible my rugs are particularly soft inside? Although most rugs have a soft shiny lining on the neck.

Its not just a little bit, its really quite bad and now i am no longer using the mane saver the pulls all end up full of clumps of hair so must catch. Annoying though as one of these rugs is a Fal which is only 6 weeks old

Sorry not much help but am using mine with Premier Equine rug and having no problems! It does have a soft shiny lining though!

Do the bib's work, do all your horses have a nice mane with no gaps?

Op is it possible to get a small strip of felt that you can put on the excess rough bit of velcro. I did this to a coat my daughter had when she was small and the rough side used to rub her chin raw.
