I really need a pattern for a bossy bib for the 44 year old mare I loan, she has got really bad rug rubs from being so skinny and because her owners are rubbish they have said that if I want rugs not to rub then I have to buy her a anti rub vest, You may think I am being stingy but I have already bought 3 lycra vests that didn't help and the owner didn't put on all the time.

I got a bossy bib for Mason where his rugs rubs when they were on practically 24/7 in the snow earlier in the year.
It was brilliant, and although not the cheapest, I think it was worth every penny.
My friend had a cheaper bib for her mare, and it seemed to do the job just as well.
to be honest, I think you'd be better off buying one - these guys have done a load of research into fabrics, bindings and shapes to ensure they don't rub, you might end up making something unsuitable a few times before you get it right!

Sounds like the owners don't deserve a pony if that's their attitude - you think they'd be willing to fork out £20 to make their pony more comfortable. :(

and in order for it to work it definitely needs to be on the horse - no use in the tack room!
