I feel like such a bad mummy.
My friend was giving my girly a cuddle this afternoon playing with her bottom lip(my girl likes this for some reason) and noticed some sores on the inside of her top lip, they looked a bit like ulcers not sure so called in to vets on way home he said prob caught her self on something while in field took his advice and went home
Called friend to tell her what he had said and she had been looking it up as she had not seen anything like it before said it was caused by Bot flies/ worms and to worm her tom. Now i feel like a very bad mum.
Anyone else has this prob before and how did you treat it is worming her enough.
Thanks for reading

I think I would trust my vet more than a friend looking something up in a book!
Bot fly mograte from the mouth to the stomach, so unless you have had bot eggs on her already this year, any she had last summer will have moved on - and out- by now.
see the lifecyle and timing -scroll down to bots under insects

If you have wormed with any ivermectin or Equest type of wormer since last autumn, then she will be ok.
She may have been nibbling hawthorn bushes, or something irritating.

When did you last worm her?

Are there any buttercups in the field? They can cause irritation.

If you're worried, get the vet to come out and check
