What is your fave way of removing the little sods, mine is a sharp fingernail but it does take time and a tolerant horse

Scarily we used to use a cut throat razor last time I had a horse.
But I've not had any since I've had Bree - they used to be a total nightmare on the yard I had my horse in as a teenager. But then we didn't have the horseflies as much and those little sods bite.
