My cob was covered in bot eggs. Managed to remove a lot but he wouldn't let me remove those on his lower legs and there were many. Is it too soon to give ivermectin? We've had a couple of frosts already. Is it better to wait until December? I also want to worm for pin worm as he's rubbing his tail and I've seen a pin worm in the droppings.

If you worm too soon you will just have to do it again. Worm when you are no longer seeing eggs laid or flies - I.e. first decent frost - is the advice. I’m going to wait. I agree there have been loads this year though!

Im going to worm for bots next week- there haven’t been any adults around here for a month of so, so I’m not worried about it being too early, and they should have migrated to the stomach by now. I want rid of those little wrigglers before they get too attached!
