It was printed in 1892. The Chaps called Prof.Norton.B.Smith and, his methods are very similar to what Monty Roberts and Richard Maxwell do, even down to special "controlling" tack.
Only difference is some of the Vet remedys he suggests. Like for Worms, He says "Mix and dry TOBACCO with the feed. Or, for Pneumonia; "Give the steed, a Pint of WHISKEY, twice a day in its feed"
