today I saw a young colt clysdsale/welsh and fell in love. His mum in poor shape, but I put that down to feeding the colt well, he's got that Look at me and so I've bought him, by the time he's old enought to back I'll be 65 and looking forward to it. My Welsh sec d I backed this year as a 5 year old, as he was very poor when I bought him as a 2 year old and he is doing so well. So come on old age, willing and able to do all the things, I've always wanted to do and the time to do it(just takes a little longer)But what the hell!!!:D:D:D

graet news, well you sound very knowledgable and willing to let a youngster mature well... don't know how old you are knoe but I hope it;s 60 as a clydie takes a long time to grow... the brewery I worked at never started 'em til' 6yrs. rush at your peril come later in life said ol' fred. The bones are soft in hard horses.

Congratulations, may you have many happy year with him xx

Ha, lots of fun! I bought a feral weanling in November 2009 - only four months old. He was running in a barn of over 20 weanlings, and was the only one who kept stopping to stare at me. He is a delight - I hope yours is too.

Yes I think he will be, my Welsh sec d was the same, but he was skin and bone, when I bought him as a 2 year old going on 3, he looked liked a 22 year old, yet was sold at the Royal Welsh in the October in good condition and he's turned out to be a delightful cheeky chappie, but under height, but at 5 still hoping he will grow the odd inch.

My OH says he needs a new camera, as the old one, is crap(his words), so yes as soon as he can buy the one he wants(sigh big money) I will post pics of the little one and the rest.
