Thinking of jumping tomorrow - what should the distance be between the two parts for a bounce fence for a 14hh pony? It'll only be about 2'3"-2'6" as I've never done one before but we're doing one stride doubles happily.

Thanks a million to anyone who can tell me!

I tend to do 4 of my strides as a rough guess, jump it at a low height and then adjust it if I need to. I'm sorry I don't know what the actual distance is.

about tweelve foot. just use a tape measure to size out one of your strides then measure out 3 1/2 - 4 strides, this shoiuld make about 11-12 ft so depending what your horses stride is you can adjust it, normally it is 12ft for a bounce fence.
hope htis helps

11 ft for a pony. Much better to measure it with a tape measure to get it right. It is 12 ft for a horse. You can move it towards 11 1/2 or 12ft if he is managing okay as that is the standard spacing on a SJ course.
