Boxing Day Hunting

You need to upload to a Photobucket (or other online album) to post.

Are we going to get to see some 'stig' like pics? or before and after ones?

That seems like too much hard work - but yes I could show you both - one clean and immaculate at the meet, and one very muddy a little later - but still smiling.....me and horse in one piece ready to fight another day!

Of course and I really want to post these pics - so if PB Sparkles can do it - brill........but as you may see (if the photos come to light) there is mud and then there is super mud....!

Anyway, I thought it wasn't really hunting unless you came back covered in mud??

Oh that's not fair! I came back clean although soaked to the skin! A friend of mine ended up absolutely caked in wet mud due to her horse rearing in a closely planted fir tree plantation and getting caught in one of the trees. She toppled off the back and when she got up all she could see was her horse half stranded in a tree!

It's the stories that go with the falls...!

HI,

Sign up for photobucket - it's useful anyway - should your computer crash you can keep all treasured photos on there and be able to recover them on any other PC/Laptop/Tablet etc.

Also you can add photos for us to see :D:D:D

Thanks PBS - a first time pictured on HHF (as opposed to MFH) Hope you all note that I am smiling at all times, and whilst you cannot see the (poor) horse in the 2nd picture, he was happy enough to stand and pose for the many hunt followers who wanted to add us to their albums of Boxing Day Madness.....(so not unduley stressed by his experiences then....)
Clearly having been outed now, I can never post on this Forum again - so like the lovely C4 Racing team of Francombe, Thompson, Big Al, McCruik and co - I will maybe bow out on a sort of muddy high???
Happy New Year - and I hope that you have lovely times with you nags in 2013 xx

Haha!!! Fabulous muddy pic!! Good on you for getting back on and keeping a smile on your face. How did you come off? Was it an impressive fall?

Brings back memories!
I have a pic like that from years back. I was very thankful of the wet going as pony lost his footing and rolled on me.
There was a perfect imprint of my body in the mud :o

Glad you were still smiling :)

All the same family (kids and me - the two on the left are ex racehorses (lovely horses) The one on the right is the youngster - wish I had been on the one in the middle, who is my horse really! Hence me always posting about how much I love ex racers, as compared to home grown lovelies IDXTB - he is lovely really - and will be a great horse in the future.........

Lovely!! That brings back memories!! Which hunt were you with? And does the East Devon still meet at 'the Angel' Honiton on Boxing Day???!!!!
