I know I'm not a regular poster but I just wanted to share this with people who will understand how happy I am, sorry if it's a bit sentimental and tedious.......

Since I was about six years old I have always made my Dad take me to see off the hunt in Ashbourne Market Place. I've always had my own horses and have hunted them but due to constraints of no transport and other Christmas engagements I've never been mounted.

Anyway it was always a special day for me and my Dad so when he unexpectedly passed away earlier this year it left me feeling a bit lost as to what to do on Boxing Day. I knew it wouldn't be the same on foot but I still wanted to go. Some wonderful people knew how much it would mean to me and took one of my ex racers up for me and I joined for the first time as a mounted follower and I cannot tell you how magical it was and The Four Shires Bloodhounds were so friendly and everyone made me feel so welcome.

My little horse was a superstar as usual galloping all day and jumping anything I asked of him and despite the fact that it was very foggy it was a day I will never forget and I really felt that my Dad was looking down on me proudly.

I shall put a few photos in the gallery.
