He told me about a drug, poo cant remember then name

that you inject once, and lasts about 6 weeks. Says it's amazingly succesful drug and it costs about £60???

Might be worth a go? I know he'd let me inject it myself too as I do with my AB's and such. Therefore svaing on call out etc?

Dont know if it'll help anyone esle going through the boxrest thing also?

Oh, let me know what drug that is!!!

I should be receiving the Sedalin today (vet posted it out), so if that fails, I will ask you about this drug.

I want my old horse back!!! Not the thug/killer-horse that's currently in the stable...

Just out of interest why would you rather not use sedalin??

I was using it, wonderful stuff, but at £25 a tube needing to use 3 notches twice a day, so a tube every other day it was working out rediculously expensive.

She'll have some when she goes back out in the field though!lol x

i think the injectable drug may be modecate - has a similar pharmacological action to sedalin i should imagine. Has your vet suggested bromide - i've heard that can also be helpful in some cases?

Just another thought for anyone using sedalin - it can cause photosensitvity, my one horse was so lame the vet thought she had an abscess but the next day i saw her white heel was really pink and hot and the frog very tender. i think it can also still happen for a while after you've stopped using the sedalin because the skin cells are still affected.
