Does anyone else suffer from bra straps falling off your shoulders when you ride??
It really pisses me off!!!

I got a couple of old (hmmm lovely) fav. ones, that have cross over at the back straps, but i can't remember where i got them from (tho more than likely M&S)..

Anything simple that i should have thought of already!

Sorry for the random post

but i was thinking about it today, and thought you lovely people of HHO would more than likely be able to help...

You are right with good old M&S I have one from there.
What I really favour are the sports support tops that you can get for going to the gym (whatever that is!!)
They are pull on things and are soooo comfy (but maybe not if you are particularly gifted in that dept!) and never shift!

You could get yourself one of those bra-strap adjuster thingies - it's a clear strap which you round your own bra straps and it lies flat across your back and ta-da! no more slipping straps.

I got mine from Next I think.

Ohh, now that could be a good idea!!!

I got some of those gyp type tops too, which are also good!

(not that i really got much to put in a bra

but sitting trot if nicer with one haha)

Will go have a look in Next

I always wear a shock absorber to ride in and they never fall off. However normal bra, boobs move more and strap falls down

I have big built up shoulders so its a nightmare! I rely on sportsbras find they are the best - Matalan does some good ones and my trusty M&S one is brilliant. I just cannot ride in ordinary bras as they irritate me falling down so much.

Maybe the ladies of HHO should get together and design the perfect bra for riding? haha, i'm sure no one has designed anything like that yet (not for under silly money anyway)

My friend had a boob leap out one of those half cup things whilst in a bracing canter. It swung about merrily until she managed to pull her horse up and secure it again.

A good solid bra to accompany those granny knickers is the best thing, however not so good if you need medical treatment so dont fall off.

I agree with Krashnburn, I love the M&S sports bras. Honestly I never have straps falling down problems!

[/ QUOTE ] I've got those too - fab for riding and straps never fall down!

oh my gosh it drives me nuts! I have tiny weeny shoulders and nothing stays on! I now ride in a sports bra that crosses at the back or I have these little rubber things that go over the strap or my bras and stop them from slipping. Other option is those bras with the plastic see-through straps as they tend not to slip...otherwise you could go without

Ride without a bra? Eeek! That would not be pretty in my case and I'd end up with two black eyes.

Yup sports bra and lycra gym top for minimal bounce!

When I bought my latest sports bra (for the gym/running) I was told to go down a back size from my normal bra size and go for a bigger cup size and oick up the straps. I ended up with a 34E. It worked - all of my bust was covered by the cups and it was all contained by the smaller back size. I wouldn't say it was perfectly comfortable but it has made running and riding far more enjoyable (well the riding is) and everything stays put. It also helps round period time when any boob movement kills me.
