I picked up what i thought was a french link, loose ring snaffle, but when i got it home the lable says loose ring, french link, bradoon. What is the difference. Also what makes a snaffle a snaffle. Like alot of things i find bits very confusing.,

I have one that says the same, I guess its because the bradoon is a snaffle!

A snaffle is just a bit that does not use leverage I.e. not a curb... They can be single or double joint, straight bar, Mullen mouth... Then there's the types of rings... It's quite a broad term really!

A bradoon will have a smaller ring and a slightly thinner mouthpiece than a regular snaffle, other than that it is the same. I need a french link bradoon if you want to sell it on......
