Hi I am looking for anyone that was in the Bradwall BE 100 May 2015 or did some jump judging and can recall a rider called Arthur Duffort he owns Otis Eventing thank you.

I've seen him around at plenty of competitions in the NW - did you need someone who was specifically at that one?

Ok, I've had a look through your posts & I appear to have gleaned what you are trying to do.

In all honesty, I think you are barking up the wrong tree here.

- That 60 penalties (which was either 2 stops at the same fence - most likely looking at the horses record or 1 stop at 3 different fences) was on the horse's record & available to you prior to you purchasing the horse. When buying a horse to event I would consider it the buyers responsible to look at a record & ask about any errors or gaps in the results.

- There are 300 horses & riders allowed at each day of BE competition. You are asking people if they remember a bay horse, that competed amongst 300 other horses, at an event over 2 years ago. The power of the internet can be amazing....but I think that's a big ask 😂🙈

- You have been asking the same/similar questions for 12 months now. It seems your dispute regarding this horse has been running for about 18 months & you purchased it around 2 years ago. Have you had good legal advice? Because it doesn't sound like it to me, sorry.

It sounds & looks like you paid too much money for a horse that had pretty sketchy results with an experienced, pro rider. I'm guessing you tried it & had it vetted prior to purchase?

Right, I'm feeling proper nosey and it's a Friday so Seelig, can you tell us more about what you think may have happened at Bradwall (or Tushingham)? Does it relate to the gelding you bought from him that he would not take back? I have created a little story in my head of what I think is going on but I'd love to here know how close I am.
In relation to your specific query, have you contacted the event organisers? I don't know if they would be able to share things due to data protection or no longer maintaining records 2 years on but it could be worth an ask.

I too have created a little story in my head 😂 #nosybonk
The only record that BE would keep from 2 years ago, is a horse fall or if the rider was disciplined in some way (& I suspect a verbal warning would be removed from a record after 2 years)
They certainly don't keep the individual fence judge records....I know this because someone I know contacted BE after a 20 penalties appeared on a horse's record that shouldn't have been there. BE were adamant they don't have individual records.

I would be happy enough with the previous results, he only ran as a 5 year old, started straight at 100, did his only 4 events within the space of a month, had FAB dressage (all but one under 30), was clear XC 3 of the 4 times (I would forgive a baby a look at a particular fence). Even SJ was 2 clear of his first 4 runs, and one down once and 2 down the other.

Having said that, I don't know OP, but would not buy this type of horse for someone new to eventing. I would prefer one who had been produced by an amateur rider, been kicked on round 90s for a while so they become a bit self sufficient.

I do not know Mr Duffort either, but looking at how many runs he has on various horses I suspect he may not remember how that particular horse went at a particular course on a particular day in 2015!

There seem to be several videos on Youtube of this horse, including dressage and XC at Kelsall, his 2nd event.

I hope whatever the dispute is is soon resolved.

We have taken advice and are collecting as much information as we can from all sources. It is difficult to discuss all aspects but thank you all for your answers.
