Is anybody going to this or done it.

I am going to do the intro, its the first time out for my new girl and to say the least (she is still quite spooky) just read a reveiw of it and they said that it isn't ideal for a first time out!!!! Because the xc course is a bit too demanding...

I will still go and give her a try without frightening her i hope, but can anyone tell me their views.

I did Intro last year and found it fine. Only spooky bit is a log into natural drop to a natural ditch but my spookey horse felt fine with them. I didn't find it a difficult Intro at all, in fact I moved him up to PN following Bradwall

I got the review from eventriders.com - it said the following -
AMATEUR
Layout: 9/10 "Very good"
Arenas: 9/10 "flat with lots of space"
SJ track: "Intro fairly easy"
XC course: "Intro big and difficult"

Other comments: "Log drop needs taking out of Intro!"

Good for 1st time at level? Intro No
Difficulty level: 8/10 Intro

Thats what has made me ask...however I think i am getting there with her xc, went round my yards 'mini' farm ride and she did all the jumps, even the ones I am scared of, so I think she is getting it ...eventually. The first few she is a bit silly about but once she is in a rythm (spelling..) she is fantastic.

Bradwall is a lovely course and wouldn't agree with those ratings. It's a relatively short course that's a bit twisty but it's fantastically built and a lovely, lovely feeling to the whole event. It was our horse's first ever intro and even though he had a stop at the ditch mentioned in another post it was rider error rather than the horse's fault.
