Brakes lock when Reversing an old Rice trailer

Anyone know where the pin goes to prevent the coupling pushing back and brakes coming on when reversing an old Rice horse box ... I cannot work it out!

One I knew had a flat, rounded latch that hinged over where the bit that goes in when it goes back is, rather than a pin.

Under the brake handle there are three holes. Put it in the hole nearest the tow hitch

Yes near where the pin is kept there is a hole about same size in the chassis about below the handbrake lever - that won’t stop anything moving backwards though

You sometimes have to push the trailer back off the vehicle to be able to put the pin through the hole.
