Hi, my daughter is at University in Leeds and has left the care of her 16.2 IDx to me back in Manchester.

She is missing the day to day care and riding of horses and i have said i would post on here if anyone is looking to part loan / needs help etc.

She is a confident rider having taken her horse through all disciplines, BSJA, Hunting, Dressage to Novice level, XC etc

She is 21 and has her own transport, currently on a placement year working full time (hence could only loan 2 evenings and a weekend day atm.

If anyone can advise of any livery yards in the above areas so she could maybe have a drive round and leave her contact details etc, would be much appreciated.

I rode at Back Lane stables in Farnley for a while, I can't remember whether they do livery or just RS.

As an ex-Leeds student, I can tell her not to bother with the uni riding club, unless they've (a) changed a lot, and (b) changed the place they ride. Unless your daughter likes paying to ride in circles whilst the instructor chats to her mates. When I was there it was full of girls who had no balance and sawed on the reins, and thought they were the Next Big Thing. My friend and I had enough and left to have lessons elsewhere (Back Lane) even though it took us forever to get there was we had to use public transport and then had a 30 min walk to the yard.

There is a livery yard out near the airport in Horsforth if she is able to try that area.
