Hi guys.

Firstly, brought Chloe home yesterday, she's been amazing, no whining, no nonsense, only had one accident inside and a bit of the squits but nothing too bad.

She was itching a little bit yesterday, but today its worse, so we had a look and she has FLEAS. Not hundreds or anything, but enough for it to bother me.

So we've been to the pet shop who have given us some drops things that we've squeezed on her skin. Also washing machine-d her bed and towels. Anything else you think we should do?

I'm pretty annoying tbh =[[

What type were the drops?? If they were the normal rubbishy ones, I don't rate them at all!!
Are you planning on taking her to the Vet's for a check up? If so they will probably sort you out with some Flea Drops and a wormer then.

She is very cute!

The fleas are easily sorted - as The Henmeister says go to vets for check up etc and they will be able to give you an effective flea treatment. For now you can't do anything else - and at least you found them quickly.

Can't see piccy's as I don't 'do' facebook

She's seeing the vet on Thursday so I'll mention it to him then.

They weren't a brand I don't think and they only cost like £5. He didnt recommend me a comb because I think she might be too young, what do you think?

When I brought Flyn home as a pup he was riddled with fleas and worms - he was sick the first night and it looked like a pile of spaghetti

I gave him a bath and his whole chest and tummy were a rash of flea bites.

IMO puppy Frontline or Advantix are the only decent things to use to get rid of fleas but I warn you, it took ages to completely get rid of them.

As well as washing his bedding as you have done and if he lives in the house - hoover the house like mad everyday, the blighters live in the carpets and breed - God I hate them!!

Where the hell are you 2 buying your pups from? Pups are (or should be) wormed eervy 2 weeks by the breeder so any worms present should be tiny not a worm burden as you descibe, likewise the should be flea treated by the breeder too, thats what we do to all ours. I would be giving the breeder an ear full personally

When my Mum used her dog at stud, the bitch was owned by my boss, I know the pups where wormed and flea treated properly, however our pup still came home with fleas! Only a couple, the reason being despite having wormed and flea treated when she was meant to, she had used shop bought treatment, not stuff from the Vet's.

Otto came from a farm in the back of beyond, lived in a stable and cost £80, yet didn't have a single flea on him, and was properly wormed, I didn't expect that!!
