I thought I would share that last night I was INCREDIBLY brave and went for a spot of sj & xc schooling. We have plans to pop around a local 2 phase at the weekend (75cms woo! About knee height on this giant horse) so thought a bit of jumping wouldn’t go amiss. I bought a skull cap and everything, you’d think I was turning to the dark side…
Popped round 80cms sj course in a sensible fashion, great fun.

bums ahoy ?

Then we went down to the xc field for a pop. I haven’t xc schooled in quite a while but the horse has and he has matured hugely, feels very confident and is getting very good at sorting himself out. Even went through a dreaded owl hole - the last time we did one, he freaked himself out a bit, I think he thought he might hit his head, bless him.

Hmm yes, nothing is handy for here, I'm very envious! :)

We are so lucky, the yard we’re at is about halfway between the A1 near Hillsborough and the M1 at Moira so we are spoilt for choice really. We didn’t have transport until after we bought this fella last January, so are definitely making the most of it!

Well done! He looks like he is loving it :) Are you for Eric's on Sat?
Hazeldene is a great spot, I did a combined training and a 2 phase there to warm up for eventing this season. Not quite as handy for us but worth the trip!

We are indeed! OH usually is the jump jockey but I do love it, it scares me a bit but sure ? sit up and kick on and all that!!
Hazeldene is brilliant, they have developed it loads in the last year. The bottom field is absolutely packed with jumps, really looking forward to their EI event (planning to volunteer). Lovely friendly venue!
