Just looked at rules and states spurs must point downwards. Does this mean swan neck spurs are not permitted? If so I'm going to be struggling big time - legs the length of England on a 14hh pony doing an area comp - great!

I was told by an affiliated dressage judge 'swan neck' spurs were ok, but to have a copy of the rules to hand should there be a complaint from someone. I would be interested to see other comments because I have just bought some, like you OP I ride a 14h pony!

I don't see it to be an issue, they're a blunt as anything but higher up my leg for obvious reasons, as sharper spurs are allowed. Will be very disappointed if not allowed :(
