Keep us updated someone ...... please!!!
We had to make decision to miss quadrille this year as the move to Aintree has doubled our travel costs - so a year of fund-raising before we return next year. But been getting withdrawal symptoms for weeks!

Shame only 8 teams have entered this time (18 or so for the last couple of years), and still few from the North.

Good luck to all taking part - (the trophy is polished and ready for one of you!!!! Exciting!!!!) from all at Moat View

Go New Forest P.E.!!!! Looking forward to seeing you at Olympia!!

Wish I could see them tonight but can't get there, I'm near Liverpool today too - so gutted!

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Thankyou - yes we do put in a fair bit of effort :) and over recent years have had some very favourable comments. I know the standard will be just as high this year as most of the 8 teams competing have been contenders before.

I would love to see NFPE get through as but for an unlucky moment last year I'm sure they would have been Olympia bound. too close to call, methinks

I think they are in - I've just got a text saying get my Olympia tickets at the ready!! So pleased for them, I know they have put lots of effort in practicing! Well done everyone.

Through to Olympia are:

NFPE - cracking display and definitely the most difficult technically i think.

Also through were St Edmonds Pearly Kings display

Bromyard with their Knight's charge display (my personal favourite - stirrups touching throughout)

And also the Masquerade ball display - not sure which riding club that was.

Agreed totally with the judges' choice although it must have been a hard decision as all the displays were good.

It was lovely (for me anyway) to have it at Aintree - I've always wanted to see it but always too far south for me. Shame it wasn't publicised more - I only found out by chance a couple of days ago that it was on. Maybe next year if BRC push the fact that it's a northern venue more northern teams will enter?

Was it NFPE who did a 50's show girl thing last year but one of their riders sadly tipped off, eliminating them? Hope so, they were super and really felt for them last year.
I was a bit gutted to hear about the move, come back to Addington as it was a great evening out!

Yes it was. I and a lot of other people really felt so sorry for them. So pleased they made it this year.
I missed it too this year as I couldn't get there. Really gutted. It's my favourite discipline.

The move to aintree was announced soon after addington last year. They have pushing the gala dinner etc there through the BRC website and Rider magazine. Addington was 'felt' to be too southerly but not sure by whom; it was at least fairly central to the Clubs that have supported the event over recent years (Ayr would be the exception I can recall). So pleased that NFPE, st Edmunds etc were able to support it this time. If it stays at aintree we will only be able to afford to compete every other year

If anyone has video from yesterday we would be interested in purchasing a copy PM me, please. Please post some pix too

Good Luck and congratulations to all!

It's a shame that you did not go cus your such a great team!

we also said straight away we would not do it as it was in Liverpool, so much fuel etc it ended up clashing with things too that we knew we want to do, our qualifier for the Music clashed so this year we just gave up and did not bother! There is always other years! I have been to Liverpool for a conference and it looks a great set up so maybe next year.
