I've started using my trailer a lot more this year but we've recently changed our car to an old discovery. Hopefully it won't but I was just wondering what I would do if my car broke down! Most of the time I would probably be able to ifnd a friend to rescue me but I was wondering if there was any breakdown cover our there that would cover getting my horse home just in case. Does anyone have anything like this?

Not quite sure where to put this post. Hope its in the right place!

Yes I'm in the Organisation of Horse box and Trailer Owners Club and pay £40 something pounds a year (as I am already an AA member) to have their recovery service. Thing is when you break down the AA or RAC are not insured to tow you and trailer (it is at their discretion I believe). I broke down complete with horse and the AA bloke said he couldn't tow me and I'd have to leave the trailer and horse at the side of the carriageway! Told him I couldn't do this and in the end he did tow me to a garage and although I was very grateful it was pretty scary as he was going around roundabouts without swinging wide to take into account my car and trailer length so it was pretty hairraising to say the least!
