Hi all, someone suggested breaking my cob mare to harness. It's not something I would do myself as I wouldn't know where to start, but was interested in any books, websites etc that might give me some info on what would be involved. If anyone has any suggestions, links etc I would be very grateful ?

See if you can find a local driving club. The only thing about driving is that you need someone with you and also somewhere to drive to practice.

Local driving club would be a good place to start. It’s good to have someone experienced with you if you haven’t done it before. Where are you based?

Sallie Walrond’s books are great too.

Sally Walrond books are good. I went to my bookshelf for a look see and decided that out of the lot of them she is the most basic and easy to understand.

Your local driving groups will know who is good in your area and also who to avoid. Like with riding some who shout the loudest are not necessarily the greatest.
