Help !!
I've been looking for someone to help break and back my coming up 4 and three year olds for a year now but and struggling to find someone. Ideally I would like someone to come to me but at a push the horses can go elsewhere.I am very concerned that they are not rushed or forced in anyway . In an ideal world I don't want a heavy rider or heavy hands to back and prefer no gadgets or endless lunging . If they are going away I would also need daily turnout and personal care.I would like them to be able to hack out and pop a small x pole with a happy and relaxed attitude.

I'm really worried if I send them away they could be ruined as I have had bad experiences of sending horses away before and don't want sour or physically damaged youngsters before I even start.

Any sound recommendations?
Thanks in anticipation.

Haven't spoken to him for a while, so not sure what he's up to at the moment, however I would thoroughly recommend Jon Barlow (based at Cropwell Bishop) - I've seen several horses he's worked with and he's a lovely quiet rider who gets super results.

Alex Postolowsky is very good with young horses, based in Lincolnshire. Might be short on spaces as the event season is just starting!

www.firtreestud.co.uk in East Yorks. Not quite your area but they specialise it tailoring the routine and care for each horse meaning no horse goes too fast or doing a set routine just because. Also they encourage owners to come in regularly to work with them so that the best possible outcome is achieved and continues once the horse returns home! :)

Hi

My 2 4yos have just come back from Scott Wallace, dont think he's too far from you. Really pleased with the pair of them. Went over to see them while they were away, immaculately turned out and was very impressed with his riding, sympathetic and effective. Definitely having the 3yo next year, dont think hes going to be the easiest :( Not sure if he'd come out to you though, might be worth asking. Can Pm you details if you like. Good luck finding someone :)

Sounds good Lottie brown.. scott doesn't come upon google so any contact details would be welcome.

The plan is someone to start babies off gently with a rounded education then they will go on to a dressage rider.

My contact is myra.ng@live.com. Many thanks.
