hi all
am totally stuck
i own a 17.1hh warmblood 3yr old gelding
he has saddle and bridle on,
walked, trotted on lunge and long rein
decided to sit on him the other day and put pressure in the stirrup and he ran off.
i used a mounting block and he has had his back seen too
in the end i had to use the aid of two helpers, i held him and reassured him, the one lady agve the other lady a leg up gently on to side of saddle. allt his took an hour and 30 mins!!
now i am nervous of getting on, before i had my baby i would have got on and just let him get over it- but now my perspective on life has changed. i have broken two horsew in myself so not a complete novice at breaking by any means, but have never been in this situation
and can't always guarantee there will be two people to help me
so do i let the proffesionals do it or do i perservere myself???
and does anyone recommend anyones breaking services in west midlands area~?
any help would greatly be appreciated
many thanks
kerry
