But his Psych doctor said on the news yesterday that he had always been sane and could tell the difference between right and wrong and therefore he couldnt claim it was down to mental health?????
The only thing I could think of is would it be because the jury/judge (or whoever decided) couldn't comprehend that someone in their "right" state of mind could ever do such a thing?
I feel desperately sorry for the daughter and her children who will surely have to be rehomed and live anonomous lives (as can you imagine the stigma involved with all this - how cruel people can be etc?
It's due to the difference between someone with a mental illness, and a psychopath/personality disorder. There is a huuuuge dividing wall between schizophrenia, and psychopaths, who only seek to control/manipulate others for their own pleasure and gain.
Mental illnesses can be treated - psychopaths can't be.
