I am looking for a yard that would take my Frisian filly next spring to break in , she will be 3 years old and has done all ground work , lunging etc and takes a saddle and bridle no bother . Can anyone recommend please ? I am in Newcastle .

probably a bit further than you might be wanting to travel, but Colin Rae (based at Helen Bell's at Thirsk) is great - seen a lot of horses come away from their time with him as happy confident young horses with a good grasp of the basics. He's a lovely lightweight, sympathetic rider.

I use James Jopling in Wolsingham so not too many miles away.
Lovely quiet rider and good with nervous horses, quite a few of the pro-riders in the area use him.
He's backed both of my homebreds and did a lovely job. Stallion was a bit sticky the first week but was hacking out on his own and with a mare by the end of week three.
Working farm so no frills but reasonable rates and a good job done.
