Breakover - can someone explain?

Ok thats probably the best article you can get on explaining it.

How about trying on some really big shoes that belong to someone else then trying to walk like yourself and then imitate a horse's movement and see how that affects your way of going and think about how the extra length would get in the way of your horse and makes a different to your movement and strains your muscles and your horses... Does that help any?

The break over is the last point the horses foot touches before leaving the ground. So by moving the breakover back (rolling the toe) the foot will leave the ground earlier to reduce risks of over reaching and pulling remedial shoes (heart bars) off. Hope that makes sence....
There are some slow motion vids on you tube of foot movement watch those to get the idea.
