breaks on my 3yo

thanks for all your comments

He was perfect with voice commands and was going on short hacks listening to the aids for upwards and downwards transitions really well. I would never consider getting on a horse without all of this established first! it is just recently he seems to be alot more egar to go forwards and not stop. I think i might go back a stage and do some longreining till he settles and listens again.

I will definatley take the flash off i don't really like using them on youngsters it was just really to see if it made any difference.

thanks again

i would definitely take him back in the school...the difficulty is that you don't want him to associate going 'forwards' with being a bad thing but clearly you need a bit more of a say in the matter! i think lots of long reining and work in hand with clear voice commands being re-established should help you a lot

if you find he's no better without the flash you could try a drop noseband- good enough for spanish RS babies!
