Hey all
Just wanting to bounce some ideas off you all about a charity day I'm organising at my riding school for Breast Cancer

We've so far decided on the following things to do:

*donations for wearing pink for the day and prize for pinkest person
*musical ridden display by the helpers
*games on the yard such as guess weight of cake, name the bunny, how many sweets in a jar
*raffle - I've sent letters off to big companies asking for possible donations of prizes for this to try and make it even better, fabulous letter came through the door today from HPower Group offering 2 free tickets to Olympia *squeal* and KP Dogs have offered prizes too
*ribbon sales
*fun and games on lessons

Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas, for example, if they've ran a day like this before
Also we're still looking to buy decorations and things - the Breast Cancer Research we're running it for are sending promotional materials etc as it's for the Horse Riding £100 challenge - but we're after pink balloons, bunting etc so if anyone knows anywhere decent that does those kind of things at a good price (obviously we want as much money as possible to go to the charity but want to promote as best we can as well)

Lastly, if anyone is in the area on Saturday 4th September feel free to come along and join in! It's at Castle Hill Riding School in Brandon, Coventry www.freewebs.com/castlehillriding
Thanks everyone!!!

:) WELL DONE YOU :) Hope you have plenty of volunteers .
If so, a photo show/competetion might bring in some extra pennies.
Have lots of blu-tac and boards ready for the entries
Possibly a real fun dog show too ?
Wishing you every success with a very worthy cause.
Teg :)

Pink flower bows - if you like the idea send me a PM & I'll let you into the trick of making them.

I made these to sell at our last funday;-

They can be on plaiting bands, hair bands or on safety pins.

See if you can get a job lot of oversized pink T shirts. I was in a tack shop a while back where a couple of ladies were busy buying full outfits in pink for one of these events. They were spending 70 - 90 ponds each and both said they would never wear pink otherwise.
That money would have been better if directly donated to the charity.

I've also now been offered 2 free tickets to HOYS through the post for the raffle as well *eeeeeeeeeeee* so pleased as this will help no end in our raffle!!!!

Awww that sounds like it will be great and i hope you raise lots of money
Wish i could come hehe too far away :(

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find hot pink fly veils for under the horse's bridle? Struggling to find any anywhere and in full size!

We recently had a 13 mile sponsored 'pink your ride' with the Riding club,

Could you perhaps get some of your riders to be sponsored to wear pink for the day?

That's one of the ideas in planning lol if anyone would like to sponsor us in what we are doing there is a page we've set up to tie in with donations and money collected on the day

Every little helps so if you'd like to donate anything we'd be very grateful. You're pics are fabulous - I just hope we can pull it off as close to that!
