I am having to find a breastplate for my boy for hacking and jumping. I tried a 5 point type but it was far too small even though it was full size.

He is a 16.2hh Clydesdale x with huge shoulder movement, and I am a bit confused as to which type of breastplate is best for not restricting movement.

I would be grateful for any advise anyone can offer, thanks.

a normal V-check elastic one should be fine, or an old-fashioned adjustable leather one with buckles both sides... one of which i happen to have and am happy to sell, you could see if it fitted and i'd have it back if not... pm me if interested. it fitted my big-shouldered IDx mare easily, and had a lot more room to adjust.
