Breastplate sizing help!

Looking for a breastplate for a 15.2 welsh D.

I've looked everywhere but cannot find any sizing guides, or what a cob or full size roughly fits! There are now no local tack shops close enough for me to go and pick one up to try size wise so will order one online.

I have two. One is a Shires 5 point in cob size and it only just goes big enough for my grey arab, but fits my chestnut arab as he's a bit narrower (although he could still grow a bit). I also have a full size hunting breastplate and I've punched a lot more holes in it so that it will adjust down to fit any of my horses. The running martingale attachment is a bit long though and it's not adjustable, but luckily I don't really need it.

If your welsh is stocky, I would definitely go for full size, but get one that could have a few more holes punched in, if required.

I have a chunky 15.2 (amost 15.3) ISH gelding and full size drowns him, cob size is perfect and is done up on the higher holes. Tried various brands and all seem the same! the martingale attachment would be useless in full size

Breastplates all seem such different sizes depending on the make! Having tried a few I've bought a couple of the mark todd one, in cob size, for my Welsh D (14.2) and my sports horse (15.2). I have had to put extra holes on the girth strap, as it seems v long, but it's a good quality breastplate in very nice leather.

Thanks all the only fitting help I can find is 'take measurements off an old, well-fitted breastplate' - not all the helpful when you don't have one to measure! He isn't majorly stocky, so I'm leaning towards a cob, and digging out the hole-puncher!
