Can anyone suggest any good breastplates for a person with a budget? Im planning to event in march and need a breastplate then, preferably with a martingle attached as although i do hav a martingale im sure i've seen them combined and this would look less err crowded if they were attached together lol

My breastplate is a GFS one, excellent quality but slightly more expensive than the one helenandshadow has, think it was about £45. Comes with a martigale attachment which can be easily unclipped.

I always had Boss in a breastgirth and separate martingale- never did him much harm

I have to admit I have nicked my sister's pony sized hunting breastplate for Moon as everything else is too big

I have a kincade breastplate which came with a running martingale attachment, it was about £20 from rideaway, it's not english leather but it does the job!

i have the same one and it's great. it looks like english leather (although i know it's not) and it functions the same as an expensive one.

Yep me too! Its really smart, and means dont feel guilty for not cleaning regularly....

Its great and really nice quality. Try ebay, I sold and elasticated Y-shaped breastplate on there with martingale attachment, it went for about £20.
