Our quarter horse has had a horrendous virus and coughed for ages. She's much better now and is virtually back in full work, but she's still a bit thick in her wind. I know this will improve as she gets fitter but can anyone recommend supplements to help breathing? Respirator (NAF) and No Wheeze look good, but anyone have any experience of these?
She's on wet hay and flax bedding and turned out most days.

a friend of mine had a pony that came down with viral infection which left the pony quite poorly with its breathing. she rang global herbs who gave her zephr to use, she was very pleased with this. if you ring the vet help line at global herbs thry are very helpful and will point you to the product that they feel will be of use

i can second the global herbs zephyr, i use it combined with their 'skratch' product for my mares pollen allergy and it has worked wonders. Her breathing is so much better now and her pollen allergy is milder too. I also used to use D&H Breathe Free which worked really wel too

I use NAF Easy Breathe stuff. Tried the D&H Breathe Free stuff but my totally non-fussy eating horse wouldn't touch her food with it in.

It's odd isn't it? She is happy with the NAF stuff though. I reckon it is the aniseed in the D&H stuff as it is a love it or hate it type of flavour.

Winergy Venti-ate is very good. It works wonders for horses with breathing issues. It is our best seller so it must be doing something good! PM for product details if required. Also, if you need a Global Herbs information book I can send one to you.

definitely Winergy Ventilate - it does absolute wonders for my horse's breathing - complete transformation when he's on it and can really see the difference if i stop it.
