As one of a very small minority I am still hunting for good troos given that Rodney Powell don't seem to make breeches for boys anymore.
Anyone any suggestions as I am wearing mine to death!

How about the Mark Todd range?

I've got two pairs and they are wear well and are comfortable, so I imagine the men's range would be the same.

I'm tall and slim and have found both Caldene and Equetech breeches to be a good cut and comfortable. I got some unworn Caldene breeches on ebay a couple of weeks ago for £8.50 inc p&p!

I also really like Riders jodhpurs, but I think they have stopped making them which is a bit of a pain, as they are well made, comfortable and not too expensive.

I find the Mark Todd ones very comfortable, smart and seem to last well. Mine are worn 12 hrs a day usually 7 days a week. I do have several pairs so they do get washed!

I'd go for mark todd too.

One thing that really does irk me though - a good pair of men's is upwards of 60 quid but you can get a good pair of womens for 20 (married and we both ride before you go off on one :) ). Another Grrrrr session?

Mark Todd breeches wear really well. I've found dublin, equitech, and other thicker feeling material breeches don't last so long. Only problem is they are thin and therefore chilly in the winter.

For men they do the most varied range I have found, although I could not get on with the full seat ones , they don't stretch over my thighs.

I'm with you on this. Have you also noticed that on 'clearance' sites, there will be pages of ladies jods at bargain prices and three pairs of white men's breeches in size 46!

The price of being a minority group I guess.
