Breed and opinions?

This is my lovely (if slightly nutty) horse! What breed do you reckon and should I leave mane long or cut it short? He did have feathering which I took off but its starting to come back now!

I'd keep it long, but I think he could carry off either with no problem, he's a hansom lad

i would say a fresian crossed with a WB of some discription. He would look smarter with a pulled mane imho.

oh I think leave long....... anything fresian related just should imo .... and def when looks as handsome as your lad

looks like there may be freisian in there somewhere. if his mane was fuller i'd leave it long... but as it stands i would pull- could just be the pics- but i think it would make his neck look better. xx

I'd say he was a friesian cross, and I'd pull his mane a bit- just looks a tad wispy, but could just be the photos. Lovely lad though

I don't like the pictures of him with his mane long - he looks plainer than he does in the photos where he is working and looks plaitted/pulled.. If his feather is trimmed, pull his mane.. It also depends what you're aiming to do with him..

Def Friesian in there!
You could tidy mane just by getting rid of tatty ends and do a long plait for shows.
I trim down backs of canon bones and leave a little feather.
