Possibly a cob-warmblood mix of some description. He certainly is lovely though, how long have you had him?

Thank you DabDab I've had him 7 months now . He's changed so much within that time . Was little and scrawny when I got him ! He's 4 years old currently

oohh exciting! Over time I've bought a lot of unbacked youngsters to back school and compete a little, but I inevitably end up selling them to someone who shows an interest at a competition. However, I have a 4yo at the moment who is the first who I really feel is my horse (as opposed to one that I am just looking after for a bit), and for the first time I really understand that exciting baby horse thing, so I will look at for the posts from you about your youngster :D

I find horse breeding really hard to see in the form of the horse these days, I think probably because there are so many interesting crosses about and because of the prevalence of the warmbloods. I know the breeding of my youngster, but if I didn't I would never guess what he is. 6 months ago when he looked much scrawnier someone said he looked like an anglo arab - I was horrified!

Good luck with your young man :)

Thank you DabDab . We've already been out to his first few comps ! He's doing ever so well , a very honest and trusting horse so the future is looking bright :D

You always know when you find the 'one' . My previous Welsh D was 5 when I got him - absolute nightmare took all my confidence so was such a risk buying Joey .
Luckily Joey proved to me that not all youngsters are similar to thugs .

Good look with your horse :D

Definitely a bit of Irish!! His face is very similar to our baby horse's, who is connemara x tb x RID.

I too would say coloured cob crossed with a sporthorse of some sort!! I know that's very vague :o
