Hello
I belong to breed organizations in the UK and North America. Both have international members, and both have performance award programs/schemes.
The North America PA program is open to all members no matter where you reside and runs from Dec 1 to Nov 30 each year. Yes if you live out of the country, it is tough for the awards committee to get the prizes to you.
The UK PA scheme is only open to UK members and runs from April 1 to November 30.
I wanted to ask at the UK annual meeting if they would open the program to all members no matter where you lived and expand the show year to more months.
Yet if this is the norm for most UK breed societies, then I don't think I should try asking.
How are most UK performance scheme run? Are international members allowed to participate? How long is the show year?
Thanks
