Hello
I have come to the conclusion that buying a yearling or two year old from its breeder may be the way forward having spent many months looking for something slightly older.
Can anyone recommend anyone who breeds very good quality overgrown ponies/small horses 14.2hh-15.1hh mature height with temperament as key, (that will be produced by me to keep as an Allrounder doing some low level BE & BD with a varied life but not a competition home) and who sells yearlings or two year olds please?
I have been in touch with a number of contacts suggested but this may just bring up some I haven't tried.
Many thanks.

Don't know about overgrown ponies but I know some nice small horse breeders who breed for temperament and good allrounder - have you looked up PRE/Spanish horses? I think they are excellent allrounders with plenty of energy for BD/BE. Mine is aiming for that now. People think they are big but that's only because there are pockets where they are breeding the bigger sized horses and it can people off. However there are plenty that are 14.3/15.1 that are ideal.

Terackie stud in Wales breed welsh part breds, I know they have one yearling gelding for sale at the moment he'll make approx. 15hh. useful type :)

Leamside Equestrian breed from sport pony stallions on WB mares as well as pure pony breeding.
Their first homebred pony has just been placed at the pony dressage Europeans and was best GB placed overall.
They stand three international ponies - Caesar 171, LE Chiffre, Danger 35.
They also have a Caesar son (Godric's Campeggio) showjumping successfully who is graded SPSS.
Not their stallion, but they do stand a nice approved Knabstrupper called Holmegards Bastian. Asti is only about 15.2hh and I know there are some foals of his about. He jumps and is competing PSG.
Worth contacting Bev or Sam, even if the don't have soemthing to meet your needs they may well know of something suitable

I would at Connemara, and Connemara X . I have a Connemara x traditional cob who has turn out SH type with his mothers movement, he is a good solid 15hands with a placid temperaments but his mum who is full Connemara is also 15 hands. If you look of preloved, or FB you can often find a bargain as two year olds can look a bit odd.
Also try Horsegossip, http://horsegossip.proboards.com/thread/206662/make-153cm-whp-shp, this one sounds a bargain
