i know that sadly most of us on here have a day job to supplement our income lol, but it got me thinking what do you all do for your day jobs??

i work during the day in a competition yard producing dressage horses and we do have a stallion which has a few visiting mares

I manage a private show horse stud, my boss only breeds 2 or 3 a year, plus her youngsters to back as they get old enough. We show mainly hacks and RP breeding stock but should have a small hack under saddle next year. Now she's getting into sporthorses too so have a filly to show for her plus my own youngstock.

Nothing to do with horses. I am a deputy team leader in an operating theatre specialising in liver and pancreatic surgery. Very short staffed, stressful and intense at times so the horses are a welcome relief.

Currently I'm the Foaling Specialist for a large TB stud. I hope to change this shortly, as although foaling is great - working 10.5hr night shifts for 6 months is more than shattering! esp. as I then have to travel elsewhere to look after my own ponies!

On garden leave after being made redundant as a buyer, but also work evenings & weekends. I am now going to work full time doing what I do at weekends & that is sell new homes. It means I do not start until 10 in the Winter & 10.30 in the Summer get 2 days off in the week so never have to take time off for the farrier or vet. I am looking forward to spending more time with the horses, it has been a hard 2yrs.

Work fulltime as a Practice Manager at a busy dispensing Medical Centre. Up at 5.30am Mon-Fri to get horses done before going to work. Home late just now due to fun and games with a new computer system...........so work straight through my lunch to get home around 6.30pm. OH busy with Harvest just now, so do the horses, make supper, feed the dogs, come on here and then to bed, in time for doing the same the next day..........

OH has his own business also, and my in-laws watch over all the horses during the day, so we have someone on site 365 days a year, 24hrs a day.

Being stuck in an office and non stop all day.........its nice to come home to the horses and two dogs and relax (well when we dont have any disasters), and enjoy the fresh air.......

Full time Graphic designer. Have 2 sister who work full time we have 9 horses in various stages of work and 9 youngsters/broodmares and a shetland for my niece and no groom! It great fun in the winter!! So trying to cut down!

horsenut, dont know if you are referring to me or the others above, but we just manage...........I guess it is like anything you do in life.......sometimes when the wind is howling, we have blizzards outside etc and you are freezing your butt off then you do wonder what you are doing though............
