I have at last started the long process of buying a horse and I'm currently looking at whether or not to buy from dealer/breeder or a private seller. I want a horse that I can compete on ocally, but has the otential to go further. My love is jumping and XC, and I love a good hack. I'm currently looking at a couple of warmbloods, an anglo-arab, and a few ISH. Though breed isn't a huge factor, and I'm fully open to any that people throw at me. The only limiting factors are that I don't have a boatload of money (as I wil likely have to buy tack, feed, insurance, livery etc as well) and distance; we are located in Birmingham and he is in full-time work and has a mild disability, and I am a full-time student so travelling around the country isn't really an option right now. We are looking for someone with a good reputation, with a very good track record whether they be a dealer or a private seller.

A few details on roughly what I'm looking for;
Breed: Any
Height: 15.0-16.3hh
Colour: Any
Age: 5-10

You could try Kay at Willow Farm in Brandon (Warwickshire ). It's a riding school, but she also has a few horses for sale. I don't know her personally but she is a very good friend of a friend of mine, and a couple of people on my yard have had very nice horses off her.

If I was looking for something I would definitely give her a call.

It's a shame you don't fancy a rising three year old Anglo Arab gelding who should go on to do everything you're wanting! He's expected to finish around 16 hands.

He sounds great, but I have never brought on a young horse and I wouldn't know where to start.

have looked up the other sellers though!

Dont go anywhere near “Tommys Irish Cobs” near Coventry. Many people have had shocking experiences with him. Check his facebook reviews (the 1# reviews)
