Hi all,
I now have a 3mth old foal by registered Irish draught stallion Ballinmore Irish Rebel. He is RID and approved by breeders elite meaning my foal may be registered with either.
She is out of my WB mare so may be registered as IDSH only.
Question is; do o register with IDHS or breeders elite?
Any thoughts/recommendations which one would be more beneficial?
Many thanks

Neither/both!

I personally think passports are a money spinning exercise and would not care unless the foal was pure bred tbh.

Congratulations on your new(ish) foal though :)

If you are keeping the foal and wanting to show it in part bred ID classes, then I'd go with the IDHS. Is the stallion actually approved by them? That might make a difference. I rather think the Breeders Elite is for horses who don't really have a breed society to rigister with.

Agree with this also if you are looking to sell potentially you will get more interest with IDHS as the youngster will be less limited in the classes they can enter. Is SHGB not an option for you or AES as they both expand the horizon for competing.
